Introduction

Jetzimba is an organisation supporting the victims of HIV & AIDS in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe has a population of about 13 million people which is largely diffused in the country side. Most of the people are subsistence farmers and informal traders. It has one of the worlds highest levels of poverty and HIV infection. The most vulnerable groups are the Children and Women.                                                                                                                  The organisation is currently working in seven communities to mitigate the      impact of HIV & AIDS on orphans. It feels the future is based on a comprehensive programme providing education as a way of capacity building. The idea being to empower communities to help themselves.

This project  was first conceived by Fr Paul Feely O' Carm in 1986 and then informally set up in 1989. The project now targets more than 400 children.
